HOW TO HIRE ONLINE

Once you have picked a dress you would like to Hire please contact us to check availability for the date you need it for. We will also check that the dress should be a good fit for you.

Once you have decided to proceed with the HIRE:
JUST CLICK TO BUY the item/s and send us your completed form, SEE BELOW.

Should you wish to try the dress on first, we can post the dress to you to try on. Please contact the boutique or email us.

We will post your hire item/s to you to reach you the day before. When we have received the item/s back safely and undamaged and according to the conditions of Hire, we will refund the difference between HIRING and BUYING the item/s less any delivery charges and damages.

Always use Royal Mail Special Delivery at the post office, as this is an insured and trackable delivery service. Keep your tracking number safely. Delivery charges are non refundable. The dress is your responsibility once the dress has been delivered to you and until it is returned to us safely.

To help you look after your DRESS you are advised to read and follow these points:

1. For long dresses always wear wedge shoes or platform wedge shoes. NEVER stiletto heels as they will damage the hem of the dress. Please contact us for waist to floor measurements on your chosen dress so you know the dress will not be TOO LONG to wear.

2. Never spray perfum or deodorants on or near a dress.

3. Be careful with your jewellery, handbags and anything that can catch on fine fabric and snag it. Do not wear bracelets or handbags with clawed in jewels or sharp edges.

4. If a dress is returned back to us damaged, and we can repair it, we will contact you to let you know how much will be deducted from your deposit, such as replacing beads and sequins. If a dress comes back damaged and we can not repair it, you may forfeit all of your damages deposit. See point 5.

5. Damages in more detail are: marks and stains we can not wash out, such as nail varnish or car oil. Snags and pulls on the fabric that are clearly visible making the dress unsuitable for sale or hire. Holes in the dress that can not be invisibly repaired.

Rest assured, after 14 years of hiring dresses, it is most unusual that a dress is ruined. It is very rare that a customer forfeits all of their damages deposit. If you have any concerns, please contact Katherine for further advice: info@walk-in-wardrobe.co.uk

CONDITIONS OF HIRE for ON LINE customers

The Contract of Hire form must be signed which states:
1.  Goods are the sole responsibility of the hirer when hired from Walk in Wardrobe. Items
    are hired on the understanding that they are returned on the date due back undamaged.
    If the goods are damaged you will forfeit all or part of the damages deposit.
    (see damages in more detail)
2.  Overdue hires will be charged at the rate of one third of the hire price for every day late.
3.  In the event of goods not being returned within 14 days of the date due for return, the
     customer shall be liable to walk in Wardrobe for the value thereof at the current selling price 
     as at the date of hire together with hire charges under condition 2 until payment is received.
4.  Walk in Wardrobe will not be responsible if by any reason beyond their control any article
     is not available for hire.
5.  Walk in Wardrobe shall not be liable for any injuries caused by or from any of the items.
6.  On receipt of your hire item/s, please ensure the swing tag/s remains attached to the hire
     item/s whilst trying on. Should you not wish to proceed with the Hire, please contact the  
     boutique prior to the date of the hire to inform us that you are returning the hire item/s, 
     unworn and with the swing tag still attached and in the original packaging by Royal Mail 
     Special delivery for a refund. 
7.  Once the swing tag has been removed from the item, this is an acceptance of Hire and no  
     refunds will be issued should you wish to return the item unworn.
8.   There are NO exchanges or hire charge refunds for cancellations.
9.  Postal charges are non refundable. Only use Royal mail special delivery is this is an insured and
     trackable service. Keep your receipt safe until you know the item/s have been safely returned to the boutique
